Behaviour and Wellness Consultation

90 minutes | Virtual or In-Home

Investment: $175 + GST

Our Behaviour and Wellness Consultation is a deep-dive into all things behaviour - which includes health and wellness. We take a 360 view of your dog and their daily life to get a better sense of what’s going on. We do this through observation, conversation with you, and an in-depth behaviour form you submit to us beforehand. Our consultations arm you with the information you need to start training with us, seek out additional information from your vet, or simply understand your dog better.

All our training packages begin with a Behaviour and Wellness Consultation or can it be booked as a stand-alone option if you’re not sure what package would be the best fit.

What you get

  • 90-minute virtual or in-home session

  • A deep-dive into your dog’s behaviour and health history based on detailed behavioural and health history, discussion, and observation

  • Support understanding what’s going on and identifying why behaviours might be occurring, including aspects of your dog’s health.

  • Discuss wellness strategies, environmental management, stress management, and foundations to set you up for future training success.

  • Make recommendations for additional support and any referrals needed

  • In-depth behavioural assessment report, including resources to share with your vet.

  • Create a custom package and training plan with your trainer based on support needed

  • Additional one-hour follow-up sessions: $150 + GST

Foundations Support Package

One 90-minute Behaviour and Wellness Consultation and three one-hour sessions (virtual or in-home)

Investment: $600 + GST

Recommended for:

  • Welcoming a new puppy to the home

  • Dogs who struggle with mild reactivity/excitability to 1 or 2 triggers (e.g., seeing other dogs on a walk)

  • Dogs who have mild uncertainties to 1 or 2 specific scenarios (e.g. people with hats)

  • Dogs who have mild fear, uncertainty, or reactivity at the vet or groomer

  • Integrate a new dog into a multi-pet household where there are no existing (or minor) behaviour concerns

What you get

  • One 90 minute Behaviour and Wellness Consultation (see above for details) and three one-hour sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart

  • Customized training plans that work for you and your dog—we work in your home or out in your neighbourhood depending on your goals and our game plan

  • Support so that YOU feel confident working with your dog

  • Collaborative digital document to track training plan and progress

  • Email and text support between training sessions

  • Connecting with your vet, vet behaviourist, or other professionals when appropriate.

  • Once your package is complete, you can book single sessions as needed

Comprehensive Support Package

One 90-minute Behaviour and Wellness Consultation and five one-hour sessions (virtual or in-home)

Investment: $900 + GST

Recommended for:

  • Dogs who have moderate to severe reactive behaviours towards multiple triggers

  • Dogs who display aggressive behaviours

  • Dogs with a bite history

  • Dogs who experience extreme fear and/or shut down behaviour

  • Dogs with general anxiety

  • Dogs who struggle with over-arousal

  • Dogs with a history of punishment-based training

  • Integrate a new dog into a multi-pet household where there are existing behaviour concerns

  • One 90-minute Behaviour and Wellness Consultation (see above for details) and five one-hour sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart (may be a combination of virtual or in-person depending on behaviours identified)

  • Customized training plans that work for you and your dog—we work in your home or out in your neighbourhood depending on your goals and our game plan

Separation Anxiety

Intensive separation anxiety/isolation distress treatment program (virtual)

Step 1: Behaviour and Wellness Consultation

  • 90-minute virtual session

  • A deep-dive into your dog’s behaviour and health history based on detailed behavioural and health history, discussion, and observation

  • Support understanding what’s going on and identifying why behaviours might be occurring, including aspects of your dog’s health.

  • Make recommendations for additional support and any referrals needed

  • In-depth behavioural assessment report, including resources to share with your vet.

  • Introduction to intensive program and what to expect in our work together.

  • A concrete plan of action and support for YOU!

Step 2: Four Week Intensive Treatment Package

Prerequisite: Behaviour and Wellness Consultation

Investment: $550 + GST

What you get:

  • Get Started Session (one-hour) to:

    • complete a real-time absence assessment, including time-stamped behaviour notes and a recording of our session

    • introduce you to our daily tracking and communication documents that form a key part of the treatment plan

  • Daily training plan creation (5 days/week = 20 plans total)

  • Daily training review, support, and feedback. We are your cheerleaders and we are with you every step of the way!

  • Three weekly one-hour live reassessment meeting via Zoom.

  • All sessions and training are 100% customized to YOU and your dog. Every separation anxiety training plan is different

  • Education on canine body language, thresholds, and desensitization – you become the expert on your dog

  • Text support during business hours

  • Communication with your veterinarian or veterinary behaviorist as needed

  • Intensives renew at four week packages for $500.
